Good Day:
This lecture will cover differing aspects of not only research, but the
clinical, and actual field observations of how mentally ill patients adapt
in their enviornments. I spent about 2 hours a week for a total of 30
weeks in an area that is substandard to the national socio-economic
norm, and the standard of living that modern Americans live.
There are in my professional, medical, and legal opinion three major
areas of major mental illness. We as legal professionals attempt to group
the sub-catagories of mental illnesses into one of the major catagories.
It is important to focus on the sub-catagories of mental illness, and what
causes patients to fall into those sub-catagories, not only the major
areas of mental illness.
The major areas are:
A. Schophrenia
B. Bipolar/Manic Mental Disorder
C. Clinical Depression
The six sub-catgories of mental illness are:
A. Drug, and Alcohol Depression
B. Abuse Depression
C. Financial Depression
D. Segregaration Depression
E. Genetic Depression, (found in a higher frequency in weomen).
F. Sexual Depression
We as researchers must note that the human mind has no boundaries
therefore, we must remember that the science of the human mind, and
the forensic mind are two different areas eventhough we focus on the
functions of the brain, and the overall functions of the human body.
For example if a patient is suffering from heart disease, we could
interprete the illness as depression; is is not, it may lead to clinical
depression however we must be able to identify the actual illness in
the said patients.
Please feel free to contact my office should you have any questions
or comments with regard to this lecture, and overview.
Thank you,
