The euthanasia is a law-medical very interesting topic, because it has interation beteween the natural law, biological law and theological law.
Some countris, some humans groups lets to apply this " medical treatment" in some cases.
Exist diferent types of euthanasia, but all of them has the same final. To kill someone who is indefensible for many causes.
I am Medical Doctotr, with Legal Medecine (Forensic) posgraduate and lawyer too, and I have seen many clinical situations in the hospitals that the patients or do not desire be alive; other than at terminal ilness; others that are at terrible medical situations, vg the burnieds.
I do not aceppt the euthanasia because the society must to help until the last moment to aid the patients.
Perhaps isn't a final desiease. We as docotor, lawyer, as humans must to help and to protect the life.
Are many opinions over this theme, but all are respectables but I have expressed my personal opinion.
And what is your about this situation?.

[Dear Dr. Fleetewood:
I am afraid, my language is the spanish, I am mexican and my skills in the English is not good, You have seen it.
My number as medical doctor is 38216 (from the mexican goverment) and my number as lawyer is 1585208 and I can show my credentials; I am postgraduate in Forensic Medecine for the University of Medecine Of Mexico.
My professional interest are the Forensics themes, not the language, but I can discusse those inf Spanishi or in my bad English.
Abouth the euthanasia I respect all the opinions, but for me it is a crime to suspend the life of someone that depends from others that have the training of ethics professions as physicians or lawyers.
I am sorry for my spelling and grammer skills, but are not the same things in Forensics themes.
I hope that some day to talk with You about this theme or anotherone.
Thank You for your answer.
Dr. Jesus Solis

Elegant use of the English language is not a prereequisite for engaging in a thoughtful discourse. I would be interested to know if your opinion is based in religion or politics. I think I would approve in theory but I worry about the horrific abuses that would result. I think people should have control over their own fate, but how do you determine that they are acting competantly?

Dear Friend:
Thank You for yours questions (I apologize if my English is not good) they are very important for this theme.
My opinion is not based neither religion or politics.
Both matters are important for the euthanasia as many other themes; it depends your professional area.
I respect your opinion but I do not approve the "mercy killing" as a suspend the suffering of the patient.
If the patient wants to "finish" with his/her life it is because to be in pain only the self sick person kwnows.
But the "profesionals" in all the human activities must to help others not take the "short way" killing someone that need professional help.
It a huge theme and I propose to have a conference about it.
Thank You.
Dr. Jesus Solis MD, LLB.

P.D. I would like to know about You, because this message has not identification. Thank You
